Movies of 2010

So as I said, I'm going to review my favourite/best/most disappointing movies I've seen this year.
When I say this, I mean the movies I actually remember watching - I'm looking back at our LoveFilm Rental list now, there's some old films on there too so it'll probably be a mix of films that have come out in previous years as well as films that have come out this year (:

THIS IS NOT IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE, MORE ORDER OF SEEN FIRST SINCE JANUARY

Best of the year:

Star Trek -
The re-make, I thought I wasn't gonna enjoy this because I was never into Star Trek but I really liked this one. Maybe because Sylar was in it. And Simon Pegg. And the Russian kid. Yeah, they made it for me.

The Usual Suspects -
WHY HAD I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE.

Adam -
I loved this, it's a romcom with a difference. I want to watch it again. So should you.

500 Days of Summer -
I don't really like boring predictable conventional Romcoms, hence liking this. I loved the way it was made and it was actually funny which always helps.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox -
Just marry me now. Soooo good, seriously you should all watch this, the animation is awesome and the humour is brilliant.

Where The Wild Things Are -
:') Beautiful.

Harry Brown -
Shocking, distressing, disturbing, upsetting and brilliant. Seriously amazing.

An Education -
Really good, just go and watch it.

Precious -
I'll just copy and paste what I wrote for Harry Brown.
Shocking, distressing, disturbing, upsetting and brilliant. Seriously amazing.
Watch it ffs.

Exit Through The Gift Shop -
Made me love Banksy even more, I won't say too much about it but it's hilarious and brilliant.

Toy Story 3 -
So you should have all seen this by now, if you haven't then you haven't actually lived. We've grown up with Andy (same age & everything) and omg the bit in the incinerator gets me every time :'(

Scott Pilgrim Vs the World -
HELL YEAH. Awesome, It's got the humour and charm of the comics which is awesome. So much love for this.

Inception -
Ima let you finish, other movies, but Inception had the best ending of all time, OF ALL TIME.
Christopher Nolan you genius you, so stoked for The Dark Knight Rises.

The Hurt Locker -
Had me at the edge of my seat for the majority tbh. Deserved the Oscar.

Disappointments:

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus -
wtf. I'd rather remember Heath as The Joker kthnx.

Avatar -
Why does anyone like this movie? Seriously? I didn't watch it in 3D but omg it's boring, the story line has been done about a million times before. 3D is over-rated anyway.

Adventureland -
I expected this to be good and funny.
It was neither.

Zombieland -
It's no Shaun of the Dead. Go away.

The Princess and The Frog -
I like this, I thought it was actually pretty good and it's nice to see a Disney movie about a princess who works for what she wants but I think it was Whoopi Goldberg who said 'The first black Disney Princess and she's a frog 90% of the time'.

Films I'm looking forward to in 2011:

127 Hours. THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.
Danny Boyle. James Franco. omg only a week til it comes out.

Black Swan. yesssss please.

The Hangover 2? Maybe. Hopefully they won't ruin it.
